Aluminum casting is ideal for parts that require strength, light weight, and corrosion resistance. Aluminum casting can be much stronger and more durable than plastic. It is also much lighter than other metals, is non-magnetic, and resists oxidation. For many applications aluminium needs no protection or decorative coating. Mechanical finishes such as polishing, embossing, sand blasting or wire brushing meet a variety of needs and a variety of surface finishes may be applied, chemical, electrochemical (anodise) and paint finishes all used for many different colours.
