The two main methods of a brass casting are low and high pressure die Casting and Sand Casting. A third occasionally used method is the Lost Wax or investment casting. Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc and typically copper is between 60-70 percent. There are various methods for forming brass parts: extrusions, rolling, forging, sand casting, die casting, investment casting and drawing. A brass casting offers freedom from corrosion, fine tolerances in machining, smooth operation of moving parts and a general requirement for a long, trouble free life without maintenance or replacement. Deeco offers you brass casting along with the other manufacturing processes as machined, coated, plated and assembly services. Deeco is generally between 10-20 percent lower than your current supplier in brass casting. |
