Deeco Graphited
Bearings Ideal for Extremes!
Ideal problem solvers for:
High
Heat
Where conventional lubricants would carbonize such as in furnaces,
dryers, ovens, kilns, dust collectors, hot conveyors and louvers.
Extreme Cold...
In cryogenics.
Dry Environment...
Where contamination would be undesirable as in textile, food, drug,
pollution control and printing machinery.
Wet Applicalions
Full spectrum from high humidity to total submersion - in pumps,
meters, textile finishing, chemical processing and plating equipment.
Inaccessible Locations
Where lubrication is a problem. Graphite is self-lubricating.

SeIf-Lubricating
Systems ...without OIL!
For extremes in operating conditions, graphite outperforms oil as
the bearing lubricating medium. DEECOs graphiting capability
can solve virtually any high or low temperature bearing problem...as
well as applications in other hostile environments.
DEECO Graphited Bearings provide a mechanical lubrication system
with graphite. They are oilless and selflubricating...designed for
long life without downtime.
Quality Is Our Niche
A quality graphite bearing starts with quality bronze. Our standard
alloys of C93200 bronze, aluminum bronze, and manganese bronze provide
for extreme temperatures. . .from minus 400° F to 800° F.
DEECO bearings are also available in cast iron and stainless steel
which allow exposure to temperatures approaching 1200° F.
DEECO supplies graphited bearings in many other bronze alloys which
may more specifically meet your needs. Consult us for particular
application assistance.

|
- Improved load carrying capability because the graphite transfers
to the shaft. The resulting film reduces abrasive action and
resists scoring.
- Reduces friction compared to unlubricated bearing. Deeco graphited
bearings have coefficient of friction of .04 to .09 for medium
and heavy loads.
- Nigh temperature capability, up to 1200° F, depending
on material selection.
- Maintenance free. Our graphite system requires no additional
lubrication.
- Graphite allows embedment of abrasive contaminants.
- Reduces tendency for stick-slip start-up due to high resistance
to pressure-induced migration of lubricant.
- Resists ultra-violet, gamma-ray and other radiation.
|
- Excellent for high load, low speed operation.
- Cryogenic capabilities offered by these bearings to minus
400° F
- Reduces product contamination, reduces fire hazards from volatile
components, and maintains a cleaner and neat environment.
- Reduces overall plant lubricant consumption and handling.
No oilingdevice needed.
- Excellent heat dissipation properties.
- Resists corrosion and high temperature oxidation.
- Performs extremely well in a vacuum.

Drilled and Grooved Patterns...

Sleeve Bearing Graphite Designs
|
Drilled
and Grooved Patterns for graphited bearings. Grooves 5G, 7A, g and
10 are machined on our standard grooving equipment. The amount of
graphite grooving required depends on the bore size and bearing
length. Graphited grooves can be placed on one or both sides of
thrust washers as desired, providing wall thickness permits. |
